Development Returns to Infectum

published on Mar 02, 2012

If you've been following my development of Infectum over the past two months you would've noticed little to no information being spread or created. This was due to my school schedule and work load. I try to at least put in two hours of work in a day towards Infectum. Now I still have no idea whether this amount of time will be possible in the coming months, but it should jump start the progression of this game. It's still in the concept phase as I develop the GDD and it's proving to be a large project as I'm nearing 25 pages just for the game overview. As I continue to develop the document it ...

World Machine Heightmap Importing Issues

published on Feb 29, 2012

Alright, so I decided to post the issue on my blog as well as on the crydev forum. If you have a crydev account and know how to fix this issue please post on the forum! http://www.crydev.net/viewtopic.php?p=928399#p928399 When I created my world in World Machine, and I export the heightmap. When I import it into CryEngine I get some pretty ugly results that really do screw up everything. I tried smoothing the entire map but it loses all the detail that the original heightmap had. In World Machine This is the outcome before smoothing, Then after smoothing it looks like this, I'm just won...

Converting from Sieabah.net to Cryecss.net

published on Dec 13, 2011

Dang it's been a while since I posted here! I've given the blog a nice face lift from the old theme and hopefully this one will work out better than before. I'll have to work on the plugins so it's more user friendly, but other than that it's progress to becoming Cryecss. Now to clear up confusion on why the name changed you'll have to read on. Okay, well as most of you are confused as to why there was a big change from sieabah.net to cryecss.net I thought I'd make a big long post about it. Alright well I did this once before and it was the transition from loatelstudios.com to sieabah.net. If ...

Random Site 5 Update 8/16

published on Aug 16, 2011

Well to bring you guys up to date on the current status of the random site I thought I'd show you the two themes for the site. In the future you'll be able to create your own theme, but as for right now there are two themes. NovaBlack and WhitePearl. WhitePearl is inverted colors of NovaBlack, simple but effective. Anyway regarding the menus on the left, they are now fully generated by the database and the big blank box is where ads will be. Now don't worry you won't have those ads that cover the screen, only minor google text ads. Not so much of a big deal considering it's only a very small...

Random Site 4.0

published on Oct 22, 2010

Random Site 4.0 is such a massive update from the current 2.0 version that it skips 3.0 entirely. Technically the random site is on it's 4th version. I have all the versions still up on the site actually, and I plan to remove/store them with the 4.0 version so I can clean out the 40 folders in the random site. Yeah, it's a hefty 35GB too. I do still have all the versions online, and now with 4.0 I?ve decided to take the size of 2.0 and mash it with the beauty of 3.0. V1.0: [REDACTED] V2.0 :[REDACTED] V3.0: [REDACTED] [This link is 3.0 until 4.0 is released] Version 1.0 was great for the first ...
